Kitchen Remodel (Part 2)

That first day was crazy! I didn't do much, since most of it was real hard work and heavy stuff. I didn't realize we were going to get to the studs O.o This project looked bigger than I had imagined! But after you break your kitchen you HAVE TO build it again. There is no turning back =) I was seriously doubting we were going to make this project stay under $2000 (my goal...Isaac was more realistic, though he let me hope and believe lol!)

And the work continues! We (Isaac) finished tearing our the floor.

Photogenic tools =)

I think this was after we put in the plywood for the floor.

Lunch

This made a HUGE difference in the kitchen and really, the whole house.

There was so much dust! I'm finally starting to get all the dirtiness fully up from the floors. Takes a while to really get it all out.

With that opening I can now keep an eye on the boys better while I'm in the kitchen. It's also helped a lot with air flow.

Next , the electrical. I used to have only one outlet in the kitchen when we moved in. Isaac had added one and now I have four. *Happy!*

=D

Thinking... :)

Plumbing...The hardest part in it all....took us forever to finish! It really delayed the progress....I don't know what day this was... There is not much to take pictures of when it's wires and plastic tubes!

And this stuff is awful! I stayed away from that and let Isaac enjoy the fumes all on his own. Lol!

Cutting out the old top cabinets. We kept those. It would have been an extremely huge project to try to tear them out. but we did make this opening for range hood fan. So much better than the little filter hood fan we had. =)

Isaac was very thankful for help :)

That was four days of work :) It got so slow there for a while. I was hoping to get it all done in 5 days...it's about the 5th day now and there is no way we are done. =/ There is only so much one and a half person can do in one day (me being the half haha! ). Wade and Ben were at my mom and dad's still and weren't coming home soon. We were missing them!
