Illinois trip (Part 1)

We are here in Illinois! It's been cold and rainy mostly. Reminds me a little of Ketchikan with the soft mistiness and the fog and wet ground. But it's missing the beautiful mountains. That was probably my favorite thing about our short stay in Ketchikan...the mountains. I love mountains!

We are slowly getting rested from the trip. It's quite a chore to travel with babies. We ended up sitting in the very back of the airplane with a bunch of seats all to ourselves :) That was nice!

Isaac is napping now...I'm not. I refuse to nap because then I can't wake up and then I don't sleep at night. =p

I started this post now almost a week ago...perhaps already a full week! I think that was last Sunday. Here is the next Sunday now. My brother, Obi, and new sister, Emily, are now married and gone <=D ahhh! So very exciting to be growing as a family with such a nice new addition. :) The wedding was very nice...I shall post a very very few. When i get back home I'll take time to post more.

And now we're back home :) My little netbook was getting way to frozen and slow on me while I was up north. >:| I don't know why it's so slow...but I have heard that netbooks are like that =/ Not happy!

I took quite a bit of pictures. The day BEFORE the wedding my camera lens decided to quit working :/ Kind Molly allowed me to take pictures with her camera instead. I guess it worked out for the both of us since she got pictures and so did I =D

I still have a lens that works, but it is my zoom lens, so I must take pictures at a distance. I'm practicing sniper photography XD I think maybe my lens got some sand in it...IDK =( I'm thinking of taking it somewhere to clean it. But I had been wanting to buy another lens EVENTUALLY. Maybe I'll get to buy one sooner than later!

My two little boys ^.^ I love them so much! Wade is becoming such a good brother to Ben. I still have to watch them though. A hug for Ben does sometimes involve an attempt to gouge out his eye, or induce major gagging. O.o

Getting ready with our winter clothes for the trip

And snow :) Such a large sky! I do love the whiteness..but do NOT like the cold

 Isaac's grandparent's house

 My handsome man =)

This a red door and a brick wall, obviously

 Playing around with focus

 Inside. It's real pretty

On the roof

 Pretty view

 Back at ground level...

Later, we took Wade out to enjoy the snow. He did like it, but I don't think he likes the cold very much either. My Florida boy!
"nnow" =)

 "nnnnoww"

Help! I fell! I do not want to touch this wet cold white stuff called nnnow! He sat there till I helped him up :) haha!

 Must keep zipper up...Moms!

 haha! his face XD ahhhhh!

Snow for you to freeze your fingers

Javi DOG! Wade would walk up to him and say DOG real rough and loud right up in his face. Poor dog! He was quite intimidated.

And then, he fell in a puddle of melted snow.  The end

With Papi...freezing cold. Time to go inside and warm up :)

*****************************
As with most days that I blog, Isaac had duty today. I FINALLY got the house caught up and cleaned and picked up. I worked all day at it. Tomorrow we are headed to a town called Ft. McCoy to look at a lot. We may/may not buy it...we have been praying and trust God to give us wisdom if it's not a good investment. It shall be fun doing a little road trip at least :)

Then, it's off to another wedding! Our dear friend, Emily Stone, soon to be Blizzard is getting married and we are heading over a day early. We look forward to the wedding celebrations and also seeing friends we haven't seen in a long while. I will get to see two babies I have been longing to see for months, Benaiah Blizzard and Georgia Rose :D Babies!

And, yes, I will be taking my zoom lens camera...so what! It's outdoors mostly so I'll just stand a far off XD

  1. What fun...snow! I have had some LOVE it and one really dislike it {too cold}. The dislike came from a little one so I think they will grow out of it. They love sledding so it makes up for being cold & wet. ;D

Look forward to wedding pictures...what a blessing for your family to add to the numbers {marriage & babies!}. :D

    See you tomorrow, LORD willing!
